[Review] Brickyard’s 275-piece LEGO-Compatible Set

When you are or have a LEGO enthusiast in your life, you know how costly this hobby (or lifestyle!) can get. So getting this amazing set from Brickyard is a total life saver. Our kids love LEGO so much that finding LEGO-compatible generic or off-brand bricks are amazing.

Disclosure: I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions are my own. I would never recommend any product that my family or I wouldn’t use. This page contains affiliate links. Read more about this here. Legal stuff out of the way? Let’s get on with it, then!

The Brickyard LEGO-compatible Building Brick set comes with 8 different colors and 275 pieces including 39 roof pieces. It also comes with a free brick separator in the shape of an alligator/crocodile. They are compatible with major brands, including the LEGO Friends sets. There are also two other sizes available for purchase: 550 and 1,100 piece sets.

The best part for me was the separator itself. When my brother and I were growing up, the separator were our teeth or our nails, and that messed up our bricks. The separator allows the kids to separate all the different kinds, be it the flat plates or the single studs, all by themselves!

It also comes with a carrier box with handle, making it easy to take your bricks with you. It is kind of difficult to wiggle in the sides but after some creative shaking you can close it back up. Please remember, this carrier is made out of cardbox, so it’ll probably get damaged at some point so you could start thinking preemptively about a more permanent solution, be it travel or stationary. I’ll be making a post about some ideas and even a round-up of other brilliant ideas I’ve found throughout Pinterest and the Blogosphere.

I’ve also reviewed Brickyard’s baseplates and you can read all about it here!

As always, if you’d ever like to contact us for a review on A Houseful of Geeks or the kids’ review spot, K & Z Reviews, feel free to contact us. All of our contact information is through here.

Until next time, guys!
